One of the best sites for DIY pedal builders. Theres a lot of articles, how to\u2019s, FAQ&#8217;s, projects, schematics, problem solvers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/diy.smallbearelec.com\">Small Bear Electronics, DIY\/Projects [http:\/\/diy.smallbearelec.com]<\/a> &#8211; The web store was recently updated and the main URL now points at the store. A couple of great projects for beginners and more advanced builders.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.generalguitargadgets.com\">General Guitar Gadgets [http:\/\/www.generalguitargadgets.com]<\/a> &#8211; A large selection of schematics and project.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/datasheetcatalog.com\">Datasheet Catalogue [http:\/\/datasheetcatalog.com]<\/a> &#8211; A useful site contains datasheets for lots of components. Great if you can\u2019t find a component and need to match its characteristics with a readily available one. (e.g. discontinued components)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freeinfosociety.com\/electronics\/schemcat.php\">Free Information Society [http:\/\/www.freeinfosociety.com\/]<\/a> &#8211; contains a lot of info many schematics such as boss products Ampeg and lots more. A wide mix of information!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/audible.transient.net\/archive\/\">Music Electronics \u00b5Archive [http:\/\/audible.transient.net\/archive\/]<\/a> &#8211; contains a good selection of schematics many amps by Marshall and Fender. The whole archive can be downloaded in one click too (however a .ps file reader program is needed for some these can be easily downloaded though)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com\">Fuzz Central [http:\/\/fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com]<\/a> &#8211; with a great schematics section. However, the site has not been updated for a long time.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/runoffgroove.com\">Run Off Groove [http:\/\/runoffgroove.com\/]<\/a> &#8211; A good site for sound files etc. great if you want to know exactly what that effect is meant to sound like.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/beavisaudio.com\/\">Beavis Audio Research [http:\/\/beavisaudio.com\/]<\/a> &#8211; A fantastic site with some great projects and lots of technical information. The site is now back up but it sadly dissapeared for a while theres some great information cached here <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20150518222855\/http:\/\/beavisaudio.com\/\">Internet Archive 18\/05\/15 [archive.org]<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.electrosmash.com\">ElectroSmash [https:\/\/www.electrosmash.com]<\/a> &#8211; A good site with a range of circuit analysis, including chips, pedals and amps<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coda-effects.com\/p\/tips.html\">Coda Effects [http:\/\/www.coda-effects.com\/p\/tips.html]<\/a> &#8211; Coda Effects is a French pedal builder I stumbled upon his site recently and he has some good info\/tips. I particularly liked some of his posts on the circuit analysis.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kitrae.net\/music\/music_big_muff.html\">The Big Muff Page[http:\/\/www.kitrae.net\/music\/music_big_muff.html]<\/a> &#8211; A page dedicated to the Electro Harmonix Big Muff, with lots of info about the history and different versions of the legendary pedal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Layouts<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/tagboardeffects.blogspot.co.uk\/\">Guitar FX Layouts [http:\/\/tagboardeffects.blogspot.co.uk\/]<\/a> &#8211; A blog site containing lots of stripboard\/vero layouts. A great site but rarely includes schematics<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/effectslayouts.blogspot.co.uk\/\">Effect Layouts [http:\/\/effectslayouts.blogspot.co.uk\/]<\/a> &#8211; A blog site containing lots of layouts. Each layout includes a perfboard and single sided PCB layout ready for etching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Stores<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smallbearelec.com\">Small Bear Electronics [http:\/\/www.smallbearelec.com]<\/a> &#8211; A US based store specialising in audio electronics and guitar parts. Once a small time supplier, they now sells a wide range including some hard to find and \u2018mojo\u2019 components.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bitsbox.co.uk\/\">Bits Box [http:\/\/www.bitsbox.co.uk]<\/a> &#8211; A fantastic UK based store. They sell a wide range of components at competitive prices. They send orders at a fixed rate, orders typically arrive the next day.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.musikding.de\/\">Das Musikding [http:\/\/www.musikding.de]<\/a> &#8211; A German based store selling many components for guitar pedals. Competitive prices, they stock a wide range of knobs, enclosures (including looper enclures) and wah components.
